The Story Behind the Clinic
Dr. Jennifer DenHartog founded Premier Vision Clinic in Clive with a simple goal: create the kind of practice where she’d want to send her own family.

And over the years, as the needs of our community grew, so did we.

We started adding more advanced diagnostics. We introduced treatments for dry eye and corneal conditions that many people in central Iowa hadn’t yet heard of. We leaned into aesthetics—not just because our patients wanted to look refreshed, but also because inflamed lids, sagging skin, and rosacea were affecting their eye comfort.

We didn’t grow just to grow. We evolved so that our care could go deeper, feel better, and actually solve the problems our patients were facing.

Why We Love What We Do
Maybe it’s helping someone finally wear contacts again after years of discomfort. Or watching a dry eye patient tear up (literally and emotionally) after their first pain-free day in months. Or fitting a scleral lens on someone who thought they'd never see clearly again.
