Prospering in Our Multicultural Marketplace Series

There is a clear connection between a diverse and inclusive workforce and workplace and better business outcomes. From improving talent attraction and retention to inspiring innovation to driving growth in new markets, investing in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) makes sense on many different levels. If you’re doing DEI right, you should see quantifiable and qualitative results proving the impact of your efforts.

The 2020 Census recently revealed that our nation’s demographics continue to change rapidly and today’s workforce is one of the most diverse in our nation’s history. As a result, organizations that take a proactive and intentional approach to DEI are going to win the ongoing battles tied to attracting and retaining talented employees and drive greater profitability – ensuring long-term success in the multicultural marketplace.

These and other DEI topics are having a major impact on our professional, and personal, lives.

Presented through a partnership between Schabel Solutions Inc. and the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, Prospering in Our Multicultural Marketplace Series is a new certificate program that helps participants at any DEI learning journey stage understand how to adapt and thrive in the ever-changing environment in which we live and work. The interactive e-learning modules and live workshops provide participants with tangible actions to build more collaborative, engaged and productive workforces and workplaces.

Certificate Series Overview
Our series consists of informative e-learning modules followed by safe, positive and engaging facilitator-led discussions that lead to healthy self-reflection, greater self-awareness and productive behavior change. Through our DEI series, we aim to elevate participants’ awareness and appreciation of the different types of diversity inherent in society. Additionally, we build participants’ understanding of the role they can play in fostering a more inclusive environment and provide them with tangible actions to build more engaged, collaborative, innovative and productive workforces, workplaces and communities.

The series aims to build capacity across organizations through training and practical application. Participants will be exposed to a variety of topics related to DEI and will be challenged to incorporate concepts into their personal lives and/or professional roles.

To earn the Schabel Solutions/Urbandale Chamber DEI Certificate, individuals must participate in and complete all five workshops. Successful completion of this certificate program is not a national DEI certification.

Who Should Register?
Anyone interested in prospering, professionally and personally, deepening their knowledge around DEI and putting lessons learned into action within their organizations is invited to participate. This program is designed to transform interest into practical skills and knowledge.

Program Schedule
This certificate series consists of five e-learning modules and five live facilitator-led sessions. The e-learning modules will convey content while live sessions will recap this content and focus on discussions and applications of knowledge and skills.
