The FuseDSM Quarterly Breakfast is in place of the Monthly Luncheon in February. We are holding a breakfast meeting quarterly to open up attendance to those members that may not be able to make the regularly scheduled luncheon due to conflicts. Each month the Chamber invites a dynamic speaker to provide timely information affecting our community, insight on issues concerning the community, or inspirational stories which resonate within the community.
There is networking time prior to the start of the program. Breakfast is a buffet so you will be free to network prior to filling your plate! This is the quarterly event you do not want to miss to maintain those important relationships with your fellow members.

The presentation is centered around Des Moines' development, capital investments, and key initiatives from 2023.
It offers valuable insights into what the city has achieved and outlines expectations for the 2024 development and business climate.

Cody Christensen, Des Moines Development Services Director
Cody Christensen has dedicated 17 years of his professional journey to various roles within the realm of development in Des Moines. Starting out as an inspector, Cody honed his expertise, progressing through roles that involved reviewing commercial building plans, managing teams of inspectors, and leading the City's Permit and Development Center. Known for his strategic, open-minded approach and practical problem-solving skills, Cody has cultivated an environment conducive to innovation and progress. His leadership style has fostered a highly qualified team that plays a pivotal role in shaping the distinctive character of Des Moines. While Cody has been with Des Moines, his team has been instrumental in steering over $7 billion worth of development, contributing significantly to the City's growth and vibrancy.
